How do I activate AI on my cluster?
The AI is available to all users. You can prompt AI using Command + K or clicking the AI button at the bottom top right of your app or below a code block.
How is our AI different from other AI tools?
Our AI has been fine tuned and trained specifically on data engineering concepts, the Mage Pro platform, Mage technical documentation, and Q&A content from various platforms and community channels. All of the commands given to it are focused on designing, coding, and debugging data pipelines.
How is my data used?
Messages you send the AI are temporarily stored in your browser’s cache. Once you clear your chat, all messages you’ve sent Mage’s AI are gone forever. None of your messages are stored in our database.
Is there a free trial?
Everyone can try the Mage AI for free. You can test most of its capabilities before purchasing a subscription plan. Please note that some features are not available in the free trial.
The number of complimentary AI responses is shared among the entire workspace.
How can I opt-out or disable specific models/LLMs?
In order to opt-out of using the Mage AI, update your environment variable named AI_SIDEKICK and set its value to 0.
To use the DeepSeek-R1 model, click the toggle labeled Reasoning next to the send message button in the chat window.
If you don’t want to use DeepSeek-R1, deselect the toggle labeled Reasoning and your messages will be routed to either OpenAI’s GPT4 models or Anthrophic Claude models.
