Mage Raises $12M Series A to Help Teams Make AI Useful at Work. Led by SineWave Ventures with participation from Gradient Ventures, the round will help Mage expand Mage Pro across data and AI execution, conversational workflows, AI-ready context, and operational continuity.

SANTA CLARA, Calif., July 15, 2026 - Mage, the data and AI execution platform, today announced it has raised $12 million in Series A funding. The round was led by SineWave Ventures with participation from Gradient Ventures.
The funding comes as companies expand how AI participates in operational systems. Teams use conversational AI to create data workflows, automate business processes, ask questions against company context, and reduce repetitive work through natural language interfaces. The goal isn't to replace the people who understand the business. It's to give them better tools, better context, and more time to focus on the work that requires judgment.
Useful AI depends on more than a model. It needs relevant, reliable, and timely business context. It needs to know which data can be used, what that data means, whether it's fresh enough, and what evidence supports the answer or action. It needs a trusted way to turn intent into work, and a production system that can answer practical questions: what happened, can we change it fast enough, and will it keep working correctly as the world changes?
Mage is building the data and AI execution platform for this shift. Building on a production foundation customers already trust, Mage Pro helps teams create and operate business-critical data and AI workflows so the work underneath important outcomes is visible, repeatable, recoverable, and governed. AI-ready data is one reusable output of that system: trusted context that teams can add, explore conversationally, and use in repeatable workflows, reports, exports, agents, and automations.
"Understanding data isn't enough. Generating code isn't enough. Running a pipeline isn't enough," said Tommy Dang, co-founder and CEO of Mage. "The hard part is keeping important work happening correctly as data, systems, models, and requirements change. That's what we're building Mage to do."
Mage will use the funding to accelerate product development across Mage Pro, including conversational AI experiences, low/no-code workflow creation, AI-ready data products, and enterprise reliability. The company will also continue investing in its open-source community and the developer experience that has made Mage a trusted platform for data teams.
What the funding supports
Conversational workflow creation
Mage will continue building experiences that help teams describe the outcome they want and turn that intent into workflows people can inspect, change, and recover.
