You will be the person who knows Mage deeply enough to tell when an AI-built product change is truly ready for users.
We are hiring a Product Quality Engineer: a dedicated product QA partner who studies Mage, tests with real context, and raises the quality bar for every agent-built feature.
This role exists to speed up our AI agent development process without letting quality drift. You will live with the product decisions you validate, build durable QA systems, and turn vague feedback into precise product evidence.

What you'll do
- Own product QA for agent-built work across Mage: review changes, reproduce edge cases, and verify whether features are actually ready for customers.
- Build deep product context by using Mage daily, studying workflows end to end, and understanding why product decisions were made.
- Create high-signal QA reports with exact steps, expected and actual behavior, screenshots or videos, severity, and product reasoning.
- Partner with founders, product, design, and engineering to define acceptance criteria before agents build and to verify outcomes after they ship.
- Maintain reusable QA checklists, regression suites, scenario libraries, and product knowledge that help AI agents make better implementation decisions.
- Test beyond happy paths: empty states, permissions, data freshness, pipeline failures, cross-browser behavior, performance, accessibility, and visual polish.
- Close the loop on quality decisions by tracking whether accepted tradeoffs created follow-up issues, customer friction, or regressions.
Who you are
- Experienced in product QA, quality engineering, technical support, implementation, product operations, or hands-on SaaS testing.
- Obsessive about context: you want to understand the product, the customer workflow, and the decision behind the requirement before judging quality.
- Clear and specific in writing; your bug reports make it easy for an engineer or AI agent to reproduce, prioritize, and fix the issue.
- Comfortable testing technical products with data workflows, APIs, integrations, logs, browser tools, and ambiguous product states.
- High judgment and high ownership: you can say when something is not good enough, when a tradeoff is acceptable, and what evidence supports that call.
- Curious about AI-assisted software development and motivated to make agents faster, safer, and more product-aware.
